2015...My Year of More

Nine days into 2015 may seem odd to proclaim a course for the new year, yet it's just the right time for me.  On New Year's Eve, in response to a post on Author Amy Harmon's Facebook page, I replied "My New Year's promise is to do more...exercise more...write more...read more...love more." Never one to take new year's resolutions seriously, breaking any I happened to make failed to register in my consciousness. However, a shift...a change had come.

Though it wasn't until after I pressed the enter button shooting my comment into cyberspace, that I realized my reply was less impromptu, but more prophetic. Unbeknownst to me, from the recesses of my being More broke free; pulling, clawing, and climbing out of the depths of my burnt-out existence. Along the long, arduous ascension, More remorselessly pricked my inner parts whispering ever so softly, "Hear me. I am More. You are More. Want More. Do More." The moment I released my words into the world wide web, More officially reached my mind and took up residence after months or perhaps years of climbing. On this beautiful Friday, 9 January 2015, I acknowledge, receive, and say yes to More.

I will:
  • Exercise more
  • Write more
  • Love more
  • Laugh more
  • Learn more
  • Teach more
  • Dream more
  • Expect more
  • Go out more
  • Plan more
  • Relax more
  • Pamper myself more
  • Follow through more
  • Take more "productive" breaks
  • Be more disciplined
  • Be more forgiving of myself
  • Have more crazy faith
  • Manage time efficiently (leads to a lot of more, ha!)
I pledge before you all to honor the promises I've made to myself. I will be accountable to me, Stephanie Lorraine Tullis, in 2015, my year of more!

What resolutions or promises have you set for 2015?

  1. Love this. I sent out a non-traditional set of resolutions to the universe this year too - Play, Create, Restore, and Nurture.

Good luck with your More. :)
